What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathic medicine emphasizes prevention and the self-healing process through the use of healthy living and natural therapies, blending centuries-old knowledge and a philosophy that nature is the most effective healer with current research on health and human systems. Your naturopathic physician will addresses the root cause of illness and disease. She combines evidence-based medicine with natural therapies and techniques to diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions. One of the main goals of Naturopathic Medicine is to treat the whole person through diet, nutrition and exercise with the goal of sustaining good health and preventing illness.

What if I have a MD?

That is just fine! Most of the patients that we see have both a Naturopathic Doctor and a Medical Doctor.  We believe in honest, open collaboration with all health care providers involved in a patient’s life, to ensure the best care and choice for each patient. Having a team of qualified practitioners is a good idea.
